Break Away

You think it'd be easy, troll romance. There's the quadrants, easy enough to understand. You fill them, pretty simple. But what do you do when you lose a quadrant? There's nothing in the biology that says anything about that. What do you do when the only thing you've held on to for the longest time is suddenly gone? What happens when the one you love slips away from you, completely ignoring you and squashing you out of her life? What happens when even your kismesis stops hating you? What happens when you can't refill the quadrants, can't bear to?
There's nothing that says anything about that. It doesn't say "move on with your life" or "ignore it" or "just cry over it a bit". It may have been easier to get over the lost quadrants if they hadn't been lost within a day's time. But it was the exact opposite- almost simultaneous downfall from a proud two-quadrant state. It would have been easier to say "oh, she was my moirail" or "oh, she was my kismesis" if they hadn't both vanished from my life at the same time. They're like ghosts, hanging around all the time and whispering things in my ears, saying nasty things to me. Of course, they don't do it in real life, but it's close enough. It's enough to make me break down when I'm alone. Because for me, breaking away from relationships is the hardest thing in the world.
